Upholstery Class Day Six

Upholstery class was yet again, fun and exciting.  Today, I began to cut the fabric for the chair.  Instead of using the safety net of my t-square and cutting mat, I learned to use the ‘ol chalk and pattern method, which worked just fine.  I finished cutting the following pieces adding 3″ to the measurement:

1.  Back Inside
2.  Back Outside
3.  Arms Inside
4.  Arms Outside
5.  Seat

Here in my studio, I will cut the remaining pieces, which will consist of the four sides of the skirt along with four pockets. Six inches will be added to the measurements.  The true test will be if I can actually get anything done outside of upholstery class!
